Colorful Cupcakes

Ava and I had a fun adventure in baking! We made cupcakes and decided to ice them in her favorite princess colors. We of course only had vanilla icing so we got to have some laughs with the food coloring. Ava and I made all the favorite princess colors: Aurora pink, Belle yellow, Tiana green, Cinderella blue, and Rapunzel purple! Ava then picked which colors to use and iced all the cupcakes!

Valentine's Day

I have gotten pretty darn lazy at taking photos lately, I apologize with all my heart and make a promise to try much harder in the very near future...

But, here's a daring story that I want to remember forever...

For Valentine's day, Dave gave Ava a HUGE balloon of a dog {or panda as Ava calls it} holding a heart that reads "Happy Valentine's Day". Knowing that he might not see her - he works a lot these days - he placed it in her room so she would see it as soon as she woke up. When she woke up that morning she looked at the balloon and said... " I LOVE it...I have the best Daddy~ He gave me Valentime's Day"... What a great feeing that must have been for her...her Daddy loves her so much he gave her the WHOLE day :)

Birthday Bracelet from Grandma and Grandpa

Grandpa and Grandma have started a fabulous tradition with Ava for her birthday...they started a charm bracelet for her. Each year, they add a new charm with a notation of which birthday she is celebrating. It may be several years until she can wear it as an accessory but it will be a sweet reminder of how loved she is!!

Princess Ava meets Cinderella

What better way to celebrate our princess than with a REAL, LIVE, princess?? Well, of course, there is no better way! So, this year, as our little princess prepared to turn 4 years old...we asked her if she would like to invite a princess to her birthday party. We had done the Disney cruise and "met" Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, and Aerial. I knew for sure that since her favorite movie was "Tangled" that she would want to invite Rapunzel...but no, not my traditional little girl...She joyfully responded to my question by saying she would like to invite Cinderella! Well, the official invitations went out and a very special one was delivered to the palace...And...the response was YES! Cinderella was coming to the party...


There was a lot of preperation to welcome a princess...











Our friend's mom loves to sew and found some great fabric. She asked if Ava would like a "real" princess dress for her birthday. Sure thing :) The Princess is unveiled...








Cinderella is at Ava's Birthday Party!! Ava and her friends welcomed the Princess as she read them stories, played games, provided tips on make-up, and helped make special magic wands...



















Cinderella even had a very special decree from the King...Ava was coronated as the Birthday Princess and got a fancy, sparkly crown!

Valentine's Day and Birthday Presents

Ava is getting resdy for some fun celebrations! It's her FOURTH birthday and Valentine's Day!
