Hey Ya'll

Here is Ava all dressed up to go to a birthday party...her friend, Maddie turned "1"!!

Today was a big day for Ava...she started daycare. She seemed to do well {I was great}. She didn't sleep well or eat much for them but that will change, she'll have to learn that her teachers will meet her needs. She played on the carpet with the other children and that's our goal...to have her around children her age. She was content when I went to pick her up but started screaming and crying when she saw me... I guess she was afraid I would leave her again. She was quite clingy at home most of the afternoon and starving!!! She ate 4 chicken nuggets, 2 jars of baby food, some taco meat, and of course - cheerios. I guess having fun and worrying if Mom is coming back to get you must be hard work :)

Memphis with Nana

We had a great visit with Nana in Memphis. We met for a couple days. Ava really had a great time playing in the hotel. We shopped a lot and got some new clothes...thanks PawPaw!! We missed you!

Easter Basket

Ava opening her Easter basket {and everyone else's} at Grandma and Grandpa's house! She loves her little duck from Uncle Mark and Aunt Nancy...

Egg Hunt

Ava went on an Easter Egg "hunt" after church. She liked the plastic eggs she found in the house. She kept bringing those to us to take apart and put back together. We went outside to take a family picture...she was having nothing to do with that...she wanted to get down and play. We laid a couple eggs on the ground and she thought it was really fun. Then she wanted to walk on the landscape stones like a balance beam. We are so blessed!

Take Me out to the Ballgame

We had GREAT seats...we were right on the field. And we were on t.v., well, okay, nobody would recognize us but we knew where we were sitting and what we were wearing so we found ourselves very easily!! It helped that I had a HOT pink Cardinal's shirt on in the sea of red!

Ava was more interested in playing than watching...she has recently learned how to go down the stairs so she tried to climb down the little step between our feet and the row ahead of us...

Couldn't resist this post. She was lovin on her bear and "gettin it's nose"... Besides she has the cutest little ponytail today :) And I broke down and trimmed her bangs, now maybe she looks a little less shaggy!

Ready for the game

We are enjoying gorgeous spring day here today. We are going to the Cardinals game this afternoon, we have great seats {watch for us on tv when they hit foul balls down the third base line}. She looks so cute in her outfit. And she loves being outside!!

Easter Package

Ava got a sweet package in the mail from her cousins Jimmy, Jen, AnaGrace, & Sam...she had a great time opening it and untying the bow. She loves books and has learned very quickly how to carry around her little purse! Thanks ya'll!! Wish we could be there to celebrate Easter with ya'll this year.

Laundry Mountain

I can always take a break from chores to snap a few pictures!

Ava LOVES to climb on anything she can find. Lately the laundry has been favorite. As soon as I put the basket down, she leaves whatever she is playing with and comes to climb "Laundry Mountain"...

Where's your tummy?

Thanks to Grandpa, Ava has now learned to answer the burning question, "Where's your tummy?". She has also learned how to "get my nose"...

Reading

Ava loves to read books. She will walk around the house until she finds a spot that is "just right" and she will look at the books and "read" them...she talks to herself {well, babbles}.

This one must have been a good one, it made her laugh!

This is one of her favorites. It has a great picture of a baby and she LOVES to kiss that baby.

Sitting Pretty

Ava loves to sit now. She likes to find pillows on the floor and then she will back up to it like a chair then sit down. She finds it very funny...

And then sometimes she likes to lay on the pillow...

But mostly she just relaxes!

A new "do"

For Lily...today was her spa day. She looks like a different dog. Now she reminds me of that Mighty Dog commercial.
