Salmon Hatchery

Did you know there are 5 types of salmon??? That is one of the many things we learned about salmon at the harchery tour...



You can remember these easily by using your hand...
1~ Chum {rhymes with thumb}
2~ Sockeye {pointer...like you sock yourself in the eye}
3~ King {middle...Cause he's the biggest/tallest}
4~ Silver {because we love silver on our ring fingers}
5~ Pink {like the pinkie}




The salmon in the bubble tank...Ava was so excited to see the fish that she ran smack into the tank...OUCH!


Ava had fun exploring the starfish in the "touch tanks". The ladies were even nice enough to tell her all about the sensitive part on thier tummy, she even let Ava hold one!
