So Blessed!
What a blessed day we've had!
It was gorgeous here this week. Ava and I spent a lot of time outside then she and Daddy played outside while I cooked dinner. I love this time of year. Around here, it's the time of year when all our neighbors come out of "hibernation". This year, we've learned that one of our neighbors had a baby! It's really kind of fun to get to know everyone all over again.
Today we enjoyed being a family and celebrated our Savior by spending time taking in the pure splendor of nature. We woke up early and traveled to Purina Farms to visit the Easter Village. It was magnificent...Ava was able to get up close and personal with lots of baby animals :) She got to pet a bunny, a chick, and a pig! She spent some special time with a border collie. She brought that love home to share with our dog, Lily...and Lily amazingly warmed up to her and they really enjoyed each other tonight.
We got to see the Easter Bunny! Ava looked so brave compared to some of the other children there. Many of them were a little nervous, but NOT our little Ava...she was very curious.
We watched a really fun and interactive dog show. The dogs were so fun to watch and very eager to participate. Ava even saw "Reindeer" (aka Wrangler, a dog that hangs out at Nana and Pawpaw's house).
We topped our trip off with a tractor ride. The entire ride, Ava kept saying it was Pawpaw's tractor. She loved it.

Working outside
Easter Eggs
This year we thought it would be fun to introduce Ava to dying Easter eggs...
We put newspaper on the counter and stripped Ava down to her diaper!
We mixed the water, vinegar, and color tablets in the dye cups...
We drew on some of the eggs. Then Ava plopped all the eggs into a different cup. What a mess!
We checked them a couple times
and when we took them out and Ava responded "so pretty", we knew they were done. No patience was demonstrated when it came to removing the eggs...
she just reached in and pulled them out!
What hands we had...good thing it was bath time :) At least we got all the dye off so we don't have to go to church with dark blue hands...
